Default +5 e Choas Axe?
Not too long ago I remember someone posted a thread asking if these existed, and people responded that no, they did not because +5 weapons were'nt introduced as drops until factions...

well I saw a monk selling a +5 chaos axe. How recent is this, and does this mean all core weapons can have that mod now? What about prophecies-only skins?

I've seen 2 of them as well as a +5 energy shadowblade. They do exist now. I bet we are going to start to see alot of older Tyrian skins with +5 energy. We will more than likely see +5 energy Crystallines and Dwarvens as well.

Yeah! It means that people have seen shit that arguably DOES NOT EXIST, and they failed to take screenshots, which is pretty much status quo.

It is always a possibility... but don't beleive it until they post a screenshot.

Yeah there is no need for anymore screenshots. There are already a few floating around. They are real as I have seen them for myself after being skeptical. Not really that big a deal really. I would like a +5 Energy Crystalline though.

confirmed..
I saw the same monk selling the +5 energy axe in Lions Arch last night.
It looked good in trade window, other than it was a R11. I took a SS but im at work and cant post it.

It seems a lot of the mods on items that were permanent have been moved to a new system called inscriptions. Seems like it would be possible to take the +5 energy enscription and put it on whatever you want now right?

Putting that aside would someone clue me in as to why +5 energy weapons are popular? Isn't a wand with it's other mods still better?

Not always because a caster can have +5 energy, along with the defense of +5 armor or +30 health to stop pressure or spikes, and 20% recharge time isnt going to stop a spike. And switching between wands and other weapons is a good option.

Yes + 5 eng weapons DO drop in Tryia.

I just yesterday got a +5 eng Sephis axe in KrytA....not quite max (6-22) but hey who cares lol? Sephis ismy fave axe skin so I'm thrilled

And yes I have ss

suppose Sephis +5 energy wont go for much, too easy to farm them.
